New report on stakeholder recommendations for the High Level Political Forum
The Sustainable Development 2015 partners and the UN Major Groups conducted a civil society consultation on the architecture and engagement mechanisms for an ambitious, effective and inclusive High Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development. This governance body is considered to be the institutional “home” for follow-up and review of the Post-2015 development agenda; and therefore presents a critical entry-point to ensure the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Stakeholders from a number of different sectors and countries participated in the consultation via: a) an online survey to gather a wide range of views; b) workshop discussions at regional UN commission meetings; c) presentations and discussions at workshops at UN headquarters in New York.
