AmeriCares recognises Skillshare International’s work with excluded
Skillshare International has been presented with a Merit Certificate in the Jury’s Choice category as part of the AmeriCares Spirit of Humanity Awards in recognition of our outstanding contribution to healthcare.
The certificate was presented to Dr Dinesh Baliga, a medical volunteer with Skillshare International since 2003. Dr Baliga gave a 10-minute presentation before an eminent International Jury in Mumbai on World Health Day, 7th April 2012.
AmeriCares is a US-based nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organisation which provides immediate response to emergency medical needs and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programmes. In 2010 AmeriCares established the “Spirit of Humanity Awards” to commend individuals and organisations for exemplary work in healthcare in India.
